Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour

Are you detail-oriented and experienced in healthcare administration? Join our team as a Medical Insurance Verifier! In this role, you will help ensure accurate insurance verification, minimize claim denials, and support a positive patient experience through clear communication and efficient documentation.
Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Additional healthcare, medical billing, or insurance-related education is a plus

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience in medical insurance verification, medical billing, patient access, or a related healthcare role preferred
• Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid verification preferred
• Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance portals

Job Duties

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments
• Confirm coverage details, deductibles, copays, and out-of-pocket costs
• Determine prior authorization and referral requirements
• Document verification information accurately in EMR systems
• Communicate coverage and patient responsibility information
• Resolve insurance issues with patients and internal departments
• Follow up on pending authorizations and verification requests
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards

Physical Capabilities

• Sit for extended periods while working at a computer
• Perform frequent data entry and phone communication
• Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
