Overview Kelly Engineering is seeking a Quality/Lab Technician to join one of our leading clients specializing in development and production of mineral, mineral-based, and synthetic mineral materials at their Lafayette, LA plant.Please apply to learn more!Responsibilities Primary responsibility will be to review and optimize the day-to-day work necessary to keep our filling room on track to meet daily and monthly delivery objectives.Assist maintaining Master Batch Record documentation according to current GMP, GLP, and GDP practicesMonitor Quality of Product on production linesAssist Quality Assurance Associates with investigations as neededInbound and outbound inspections of all components needed for filling finished good products as well as final finished goop product releaseReport all quality issues to Quality Associates and/or Quality Manager as necessaryAssist with day to day filling of finished products including working on the production lineEnforce and practice current GMP practices on all operations and documentation associated with filling operation acting as the Quality Voice of Customer within the filling operationCommunicating end of day summaries for the filling operation from a Quality perspectiveMaintain daily, weekly, monthly, etc. equipment, calibration, verification and activity log booksVerifying and releasing room for production prior to productionReporting Quality metrics to relevant departments and/or department headsEducation High School Diploma or GED or equivalentKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Must be organized and complete paperwork in a timely manner.The ability to pay close attention to detail and work independently.A willingness to be a leader on a team, share responsibilities, give and take direction and advice, as well as train others.Strong mathematics, problem-solving skills, basic writing and computer skills.Background should demonstrate safety, dependability, maturity, credibility and productivity.Must be dedicated to working safely and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and shift work including holidays and weekends.Forklift Operation is preferred but not required.Good verbal and written communication skills.Read, write, listen, speak and understand EnglishRead, write, listen, speak and understand Spanish a plus, but not requiredEmployment type Full-timeSeniority level AssociateIndustry Chemical ManufacturingJob function Quality Assurance and Other#J-18808-Ljbffr
