Quality Control Specialist in a Machining Shop!

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our growing machine shop specializing in precision-machined components for the oilfield industry.

QC Inspector Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $ 20.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 04:00pm)

• $17-$20/hour with paid holidays.
• Hours approximately 7am-4pm; OT and weekends as/if needed.
• Employees will have exposure to outside elements and may require lifting and other strenuous functions using hands, arms, legs etc.
• Performs inspections and tests for at receiving, in-process and final for all production parts, subassemblies, purchased parts, outside operations and completed assemblies.
• Responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections.
• Responsible for performing hardness testing.
• Responsible for maintaining gage calibrations.
• Responsible for documenting inspection results.
• Responsible for determining accuracy of heat codes and material test reports.
• Responsible for initiating documentation for nonconforming materials, components, sub-assemblies and finished assemblies.
• Verification of effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive actions.
• Maintain a professional relationship with machinists, assemblers, test technicians, final prep personnel, and supervisors and managers.
• Know and understand Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the QMS.
• Comply with all health and safety rules.

QC Inspector Qualifications:

• Previous Quality Control experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience inspecting precision-machined parts for the oil & gas industry is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment including: Micrometers Calipers Height gauges Bore gauges Dial indicators Thread gauges.
