CNC MACHINE OPERATOR2nd shift - 3:15pm - 11:45pmBROUSSARD, LA, USA, 7051803/13/2017 to 03/09/2018$19.49/HR ON W2The CNC Machine Operator II supports manufacturing and engineering by producing production parts, new tools and fixtures and/or development of manufacturing processes requiring grinding, lapping, or CNC equipment. The position focuses on process simplification and improvement and must be able to work autonomously and within a team.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of processes and programs to produce production parts and toolsSchedule and track workflow, materials, and resources through the machine shop to satisfy requirementsTrain Machinist I on the use of equipmentWork with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GDT) to produce accurate parts and assembliesUtilize Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment to produce accurate parts in various quantities to meet development project needsUtilize precision measuring tools to ensure in-process or finished product matches specified tolerancesApply strong metrology background and specify tools and machining processes to improve product or tool manufacturing capabilitiesComplete documentation for tracking of time and cost related to development activitiesPerform routine and/or corrective maintenance on machine shop equipmentDevelop maintenance procedure techniquesTrack shop equipment performances and adjust maintenance schedules for optimum efficiency of equipmentComply with EHS regulations and policiesLead teams and projects to drive improvements in processes and documentationSupport new product development requirements by performing assigned work as neededRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED or local equivalent5 or more years technical experience working in a machine shop, programming and operating CNC machines and other metal working equipment2 years technical experience in CNC Machining and/or Tool and Die Journeyman cardAbility to perform Machine Tool Math (including trigonometry)Ability to perform detail oriented work and complete projects on timeBasic computer knowledgeAbility to communicate, receive and understand instructions regarding duties to be performedSandra Taylor571-267-4186#J-18808-Ljbffr
