Position Overview Warehouse Material Handler at Ryder System, Lafayette, Indiana.Location Lafayette, IN 47905Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, forklift cycle counting, and other duties as assigned.Maintain performance measurement guidelines of the contract.Accurately pick and pack, audit tote induction, stage products and load/unload trucks.Handle day‑to‑day paperwork including picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred).Valid forklift operator's license.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment.Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with a good attendance record.Demonstrates initiative, high accuracy, and pays attention to detail.Able to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.Familiar with health and safety methods and flexible to work various shifts.Prepared for additional screening such as background checks and motor‑vehicle records if required.Benefits Competitive pay: $18.00 per hour plus $0.50 shift premium.Frequent payroll (paid weekly).On‑the‑job paid training.Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match after 30 days.Paid time off and stock options.Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, electronics and more.Safety gear provided; safety is top priority.State‑of‑the‑art equipment and supportive leadership.EEO Statement Ryder is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug‑free workplace.
