Job Summary EP Breaux Utility Services is seeking an experienced and safety-driven Utility Substation Foreman to lead crews in the construction, maintenance, and upgrade of high-voltage substation projects. The Foreman will supervise and coordinate field activities, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and act as the on-site lead for project execution. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of substation operations, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a timely and cost-effective manner.Key Responsibilities Supervise, schedule, and direct crew members on utility substation construction and maintenance projectsRead and interpret blueprints, one-line drawings, and technical specificationsEnsure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and all local, state, and federal regulationsCoordinate and communicate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and utility representativesManage daily project logs, timesheets, and material tracking reportsEnsure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehiclesTrain and mentor crew members on safe work practices and technical proceduresIdentify and resolve field issues, delays, and unforeseen conditionsEnsure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standardsParticipate in job site safety meetings and auditsRequirements High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications a plusAt least 5 years of experience running electrical substation projectsExperience leading both small crews (4–7 people) and large crews (15–20 people) on substation projectsStrong ability to interpret and understand substation drawing packagesExperience overseeing substation concrete foundation installationExperience with below-grade grounding and conduit installation and required equipmentExperience with substation steel erection and the equipment requiredExperience with above-grade conduit and grounding installationExperience with power and control cable installation and terminationExperience with material ordering and material managementExperience assisting with substation testing and commissioning processesPhysical Requirements Ability to work in an outdoor field environment with exposure to weather, construction equipment, and high-voltage areasAbility to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heightsComfortable working in confined spaces and open trenchesMust be able to climb poles, ladders, and work from aerial equipmentAbility to stand, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periodsBenefits Competitive Pay + Overtime AvailableQuarterly BonusesCompany issued VehicleMedical, Dental & Vision Coverage (Blue Cross Blue Shield)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Time Off – PTO, 9 Paid Holidays + Floating HolidayPaid Leave – Bereavement, Jury Duty, Sick Time401(k) w/ 4% Company Match (100% Vested)Company-Paid Life Insurance ($75K)Short & Long-Term (Employer Paid) Paid Training & Certifications – OSHA 10/30 & Career Growth Opportunities#J-18808-Ljbffr
