Cafeteria Manager

This is a nine month position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must be able to use basic math and banking functions.
• Must have a minimum of one year formal training in food services or three years successful school food service experience as a cafeteria technician; on-the-job training as a cafeteria manager preferred.
• Must possess computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of basic office procedures.
• Must have the ability to lift 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to be exposed to and work in drastic temperature changes.
• Must be able to work and come in contact with water, detergents, cleaning agents and sanitizer.
• Must be able to stand for 7 hours or more daily.
• Must pass background check and functional assessment test prior to employment as required by Vermilion Parish School Board policies and procedures.
• Experience with food service software preferred.
