About the Role

Own full operational leadership of the Oil & Gas division (pipeline + power generation) including estimating, project management, cost controls, scheduling, field execution, and client delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor 6–8 senior managers across PM, estimating, cost controls, scheduling, safety, and hydrotest
  • Oversee ~25 direct reports and influence broader cross-functional teams
  • Manage 10–12 concurrent projects across multiple states (weeks to 1+ year duration)
  • Evaluate bid opportunities and align with capacity, profitability, and strategic goals
  • Partner with sales on pipeline development and project acquisition strategy
  • Drive execution across all phases: planning → execution → completion
  • Ensure projects stay on track across budget, schedule, safety, and compliance
  • Act as primary client-facing leader, maintaining and growing key relationships
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and enforce accountability across teams
  • Reallocating resources and troubleshooting delays to prevent project stalls
  • Establish performance metrics and drive operational excellence across the division

Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas or Pipeline construction at Director / VP / Division level (or equivalent senior oversight)
  • Experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
  • Strong background in:
  • Project management oversight
  • Estimating & cost controls
  • Scheduling & resource planning
  • Field operations and execution
  • Client-facing experience with strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Experience with Procore Construction Management or related degree (preferred)
  • Veriforce, NCCER, and ISNetwork experience

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and management skills

Pay range and compensation package

  • Base Salary: $200K – $260K
  • Bonus: ~10% tied to division/company performance
  • Vehicle: Company truck + gas card or vehicle allowance (~$650/month)
  • Travel: ~10–12 overnights per month (can be optimized closer to 6–8)
