Supervises and coordinates one or several production activities of trailer assembly, machine shop and/or sheet metal shop by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate group leads utilizing specialized knowledge of product technology, production methods and procedures, and capabilities of people, machines and equipment. Job Duties:Reviews schedules, specifications, and priorities to plan departmental work assignments. Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates from production planning in order to plan department operations. Plans shift production operations and assigns duties to workers and oversees department activities. Establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products based on schedules and may revise priorities. Ensures production and quality of products meets specifications.
