The X-Ray technician's role is to provide optimal care in a patient-centered environment and to provide subspecialty expertise. Provide top-quality imaging and therapeutic procedures. Assist in the role as a medical assistant when X-ray technician duties are slow. Responsibilities: Verifying client identity and reviewing medical staff's orders before beginning x-ray procedures. Provide verbal and/or written instruction Correctly position the client in positioning body parts to be radiographed, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility. Adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position. Ensuring that the x-rays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures. Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during scan.
