Hiring a full-time Security Officer for an adult education facility in New Iberia. This role includes access control at the entrance and regular patrols throughout the property.
Pay: $13.00/hr (weekly pay)
Schedule: Mon-Thur (occasional Fridays)
Hours: 6:30am-3:45pm | 35-40 hrs/week
May stay later at times based on site needs
Job Duties
- Monitor entrance and control access
- Check IDs and verify authorized entry
- Conduct regular indoor and outdoor walking patrols
- Monitor cameras and report suspicious activity
- Assist with on-site incidents as needed
- Complete detailed incident reports
- Communicate with dispatch using a radio
- Provide professional assistance to staff and authorized visitors
- Complete reports using a smartphone or tablet

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
- Pass background check & drug screen
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 18 years old (as per applicable laws)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for reporting (no paper documentation)
