About WizardWizard is the top-performing AI Shopping Agent, delivering the best products from across the web with unmatched accuracy, quality, and trust.The RoleWe're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Wizard's Customer & Applications pod, focused on building the user-facing products that power our agentic commerce experience.In this role, you'll work across the stack to design and deliver intuitive, high-impact product experiences for merchants and end users. You'll help shape a conversational commerce experience built around an intelligent shopping agent and own critical customer-facing systems like authentication, marketing integrations, and A/B experimentation. You'll partner closely with product, design, and AI/ML teams to bring new features to life, from ideation to production. Our team contributes to every step of the user journey and paves the way for the next generation of e-commerce.You'll primarily work in Node.js / TypeScript and React, owning everything from backend services to polished frontend interfaces. This is a highly product-oriented role where engineering, user experience, and speed of iteration all matter.What You'll DoBuild and ship user-facing features and applications that drive core product experiences for merchants and customersOwn features end-to-end across frontend (React) and backend (Node.js / TypeScript)Collaborate closely with product, design, and AI/ML teams to translate ambiguous ideas into high-quality user experiencesDesign and implement scalable APIs and services that support product functionalityContribute to frontend architecture and component systems to enable fast, consistent developmentDrive experimentation and iteration, including A/B testing and rapid prototypingParticipate in technical design discussions, making thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, quality, and scalabilityWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested codeImprove application performance, usability, and reliability across the product surfaceContribute to team best practices through code reviews, documentation, and technical discussionsWhat Success Looks LikeYou own product features end-to-end, delivering experiences that are performant, intuitive, and impactfulYou move quickly while maintaining high standards for quality, usability, and maintainabilityYou collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and help shape product direction through technical insightThe features you build drive measurable improvements in user engagement, conversion, or customer satisfactionYou elevate the team through strong engineering practices, thoughtful feedback, and clear communicationIdeal Background4–6+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong experience building full-stack applications using Node.js / TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)Experience building user-facing products with a focus on performance and usabilityFamiliarity with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIsExperience working with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databasesSolid understanding of web application architecture and system designExperience collaborating closely with product and design teamsComfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving requirementsExperience integrating with third-party APIs is a plusExposure to ecommerce or marketplace products (e.g., Shopify) is a plusCompensation & BenefitsThe expected base salary range for this role is $180,000-$200,000 USD, and will vary based on skills, experience, role level, and geographic location.
