A company is looking for an Outpatient Acute Care Coder.Key ResponsibilitiesAssign and validate appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes for outpatient medical documentationReview and sequence diagnoses and procedure codes according to coding guidelines and regulationsUtilize coding software and tools to ensure compliance with medical necessity and coding standardsRequired QualificationsOne to three years of experience in medical record coding in an acute care settingHigh school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferredAHIMA or AAPC certification (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC) is requiredFunctional knowledge of EMR, Encoder, and CDI toolsExperience with 3M360 software is required
