A well-established food manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead its Louisiana facility. This leader will transition the department from a reactive environment to a structured, reliability-driven operation that supports growth andautomation.

This is a high-impact role for a change agent who can create order, build systems, and lead from the floor.

Key Responsibilities

Reliability & Systems

  • Develop and execute a Preventative and Predictive Maintenance program
  • Utilize CMMS to track KPIs (MTBF, MTTR)
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Establish structured planning and spare parts management
  • Shift culture toward planned downtime and proactive maintenance
Capital Projects & Engineering
  • Lead CAPEX projects from design through implementation
  • Oversee equipment installs, facility upgrades, and contractor management
  • Improve performance, yields, and cost efficiency
Automation & Controls
  • Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), VFDs, and HMIs
  • Identify and implement automation improvements
Leadership & Compliance
  • Supervise and structure a team of 7-8 skilled technicians
  • Enforce GMP, HACCP, and OSHA standards
Qualifications
  • 7+ years industrial maintenance experience
  • 3+ years supervisory experience in food or beverage manufacturing
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • CMMS experience
  • Automation troubleshooting experience
  • Engineering background preferred
  • SQF, BRC, or PCQI certification preferred
  • Experience with dry goods/non-perishables a plus
