Join our dedicated team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) where you will play a vital role in providing efficient and compassionate pre-hospital care. You will be responsible for delivering basic life support to the sick and injured, adhering to both local and national protocols.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This job description provides a general overview of the position and is not exhaustive of all duties you may encounter.

1. Perform thorough examinations of patients, identifying signs of illness and injury, while assisting medical personnel as needed.
2. Administer prompt basic life support care within the scope of your certification and according to established protocols.
3. Ensure safe transport of patients to and from the ambulance, utilizing proper handling techniques.
4. Drive the ambulance safely and efficiently, following company guidelines at all times.
5. Document all patient interactions, conditions, and treatments accurately on EMS run reports.
6. Conduct routine checks on equipment, maintaining cleanliness and functionality.
7. Complete all post-transport responsibilities to prepare the ambulance for subsequent use.
8. Assist with the training of new EMTs and students if qualified as a preceptor.
9. Participate in mandatory meetings and perform station and equipment maintenance as assigned.
10. Order supplies to ensure station and ambulance inventories are well-stocked.
11. Maintain excellent communication with team members and other health professionals.
12. Perform additional duties as required to support optimal operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
2. Hold a valid National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic.
3. Current CPR certification in accordance with American Heart Association standards.
4. Possess a valid state-issued driver's license for operating large vehicles.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and supervisors.
6. Knowledge of company protocols, operational procedures, and safety policies.
