Remote Audiologist in NM

Description:

A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Audiologist to provide telehealth services for K-12 students. This role involves delivering approximately 8 hours per month of virtual audiology support within a school setting, focusing on comprehensive care for students in need of hearing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct teletherapy audiological evaluations and follow-up sessions for students across all grade levels
  • Collaborate on Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, including writing goals aligned with student needs
  • Perform Medicaid billing accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide consultative services to educators and support staff regarding student hearing needs and accommodations
  • Maintain thorough documentation of services and progress in compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
  • Valid state licensure as an Audiologist
  • Experience delivering telehealth audiology services, preferably within school environments
  • Familiarity with Medicaid billing processes specific to audiology services
  • Knowledge of special education regulations, particularly related to IEP development and implementation
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school personnel
  • Ability to manage a flexible schedule that accommodates monthly service hours
