The Retail Operations Leader is pivotal in overseeing all store operations and plays a direct role in enhancing team performance and guest satisfaction. By implementing GameStop's buy, sell, trade, and reservation model, you will foster a sales culture and ensure that every guest receives personalized service. In this dynamic role, you will enhance the shopping experience by offering expert product knowledge, creating an inviting store environment, and cultivating strong guest loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple units effectively.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by warmly greeting customers, addressing their inquiries, and offering tailored solutions to meet their gaming needs.
  • Maintain an inviting shopping atmosphere by ensuring visual appeal, operational efficiency, and strong guest relationships that drive sales.
  • Accurately manage guest transactions and provide prompt and courteous service at the Point-of-Sale (POS).
  • Encourage participation in GameStop programs such as reservations, trade-ins, and loyalty initiatives.
  • Recruit, assess, and develop high-performing team members, ensuring they are well-trained and compliant with all policies.
  • Regularly communicate with team members and leadership to execute GameStop's operational strategies.
  • Oversee staff scheduling to ensure optimal guest service and manage payroll activities accurately.
  • Recognize and support employees to enhance their growth and performance.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store, maintaining all areas per company standards.
  • Supervise inventory management and ensure seamless execution of Omni-Channel orders.
  • Protect company assets through diligent inventory and loss prevention methods.
  • Drive the store team towards exceeding sales and profit goals while fulfilling all administrative requirements.
  • Conduct daily transaction reconciliations and ensure accurate completion of closeout paperwork.
  • Maintain safety awareness and address any hazards promptly.
  • Build professional relationships with military personnel, where applicable.
  • Adhere to GameStop policies and a culture of integrity and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Eligibility to legally work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prefer an associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year in retail management experience; 3 years of retail sales and guest service preferred.
  • A passion for video games is a plus.
