Join Our Team as a Deli Associate!

We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to become part of our team as Deli Associates. In this role, you will provide outstanding customer service while preparing delicious food items with care and precision. Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers with a friendly attitude and assist them in selecting deli items.
• Prepare a variety of deli offerings such as sandwiches, salads, hot foods, and grab-and-go products.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitary deli counter and food prep area.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including temperature checks and proper labeling.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at the deli counter, ensuring satisfaction.
• Safely operate deli equipment including slicers, ovens, and fryers after receiving training.
• Continuously stock shelves and coolers with fresh deli products to meet customer demand.
• Process customer orders accurately and manage transactions effectively.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate with supervisors regarding restocking needs.
• Package, label, and date deli products for display and sale.
• Assist with daily opening and closing tasks, including cleaning and equipment checks.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in deli, food service, or retail is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; training will be provided.

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to safely operate deli equipment after training.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and measurements.
• Follow recipes and store procedures accurately.
• Apt at managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 25-40 lbs.
• Capable of bending, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks.

Work Habits:

• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Flexible availability for morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
