Security Officer - Full-Time | $13/hr | Multiple Locations (Acadiana)

We are hiring full-time Security Officers for post-secondary educational facilities in Lafayette, St. Martinville, and Opelousas. This role focuses on access control, patrol, and maintaining a professional, welcoming presence for students, staff, and authorized visitors.

Pay: $13.00/hr (weekly pay)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Overtime: Not available

Available Shifts

Lafayette:
Mon-Fri | 1:30pm-10:00pm

St. Martinville:
Mon-Thur | 12:15pm-10:00pm
Fri | 11:00am-5:00pm

Opelousas:
Mon-Thur | 1:30pm-10:00pm
Fri | 10:30am-7:00pm

Job Duties

• Monitor building entry and access-controlled doors
• Check IDs and verify authorized access
• Conduct frequent walking patrols
• Monitor cameras and secure areas
• Provide professional assistance to students and authorized visitors
• Complete all reports electronically using a smartphone or tablet

Note: The Lafayette location may require operating company golf carts or gas-powered carts.

Requirements:
Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Clean driving record required
• Must meet company insurance guidelines to operate company vehicles or carts (if assigned)
• Pass background check and drug screen
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age (as per applicable laws)
• Strong customer service and written communication skills
• Able to walk for extended periods
