Job Details

Spherion has an immediate opening for a Manual Machinist in the Broussard, LA area for an oil & gas related company. This will be a temp to hire position.
Schedule is 7am-5pm Monday-Friday and possible weekends if needed, and possible on call rotation.
Pay: $22-28/hr. depending on experience

Responsibilities:
Operates and maintains non-computerized machines like lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision metal parts, tools, and components. This position involves interpreting technical drawings/blueprints, setting up machinery, using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers, and inspecting parts to ensure they meet exact specifications and quality standards.

Skills:
4+ years of manual machining experience is preferred.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
**Needs at least some Manual Mill experience
Requires mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and the ability to work independently and with keen attention to detail.
