Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant assists in examination and treatment of student under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Interviews patients, obtains vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on students' charts. May serve as a preceptor for clinical staff. Coordinates patient flow, schedules appointments, procedures, tests and referrals. Works under close supervision of the Registered Nurse and Nurse Manager.
