In this role, you'll be on the frontlines of care, ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of veterans experiencing homelessness. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the shelter environment to ensure safety, security, and well-being.
• Provide respectful, trauma-informed support to guests, including meal and supply distribution.
• Assist with guest check-in/check-out processes and curfew procedures.
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies; complete accurate documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in shelter spaces, encouraging guest participation.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion in all interactions.
• Support emergency shelter activations during severe weather events.

Job Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering in a shelter or social service setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm in high-stress or emergency situations.
• Commitment to treating all individuals with empathy, dignity, and without bias or judgment.
• Willingness to perform cleaning and support tasks as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Specifications

• Medium: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 100% of the time.

• Schedule: 2:00 am - 12:00 pm Sunday - Wednesday
