The Inventory Controller is responsible for all assigned duties by the Operations Manager for the management of inventory of raw materials, finished goods, relevant consumables, and updates to inventory within the system.
Proficient in material purchasing and vendor relationships
Ability to read prints and interpret materials needed
Prepare monthly evaluations for Accounting/month end closings by deadlines
Oversee/perform physical counts on all inventory as scheduled at the end of each accounting period
Order materials for all parts manufactured by the Trenchless Division
Maintain detailed records of all raw materials and inventory movement
Ability to forecast needs for raw material inventory stock levels
Negotiates pricing structure with vendors
Responsible for Production Order completion
Enter receipts of goods for all drill stem into current ERP system
Coordinate with Inside Sales, Production, Process & Finishing and Shipping & Receiving departments on all matters pertaining to the maintenance of an accurate record of all inventories
Keep an accurate record of all relevant paperwork
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Required Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or the equivalent
3 - 5 years of Inventory Control experience or training
Knowledge of steel material and grades
Bachelor's degree in business administration or industrial engineering preferred
Fluent in D365 a plus
Highly detailed and precision oriented
Able to multitask
Good verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving and organized
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Able to work independently and in a team environment
Promotes and maintains company goodwill in all business contacts
