Seasonal Cashiers Needed

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Seasonal Cashiers to join a busy retail team in the Lafayette area for the upcoming holiday season. This fast-paced role is ideal for individuals looking for immediate work and flexible hours through the New Year.

Compensation: $12/hour

Position Details & Requirements

Schedule:

• Seasonal Duration: Immediate start, working through the New Year.
• Hours: Will vary based on client needs, including extended hours, weekdays, and weekends. Hours will increase closer to the holidays.
• Availability: Must be prepared for a break of 1-2 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Key Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
• Strong focus on customer service and a positive attitude.
• Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (all day).

Dress Code:

• Casual and comfortable: Jeans, comfortable shoes, and a T-shirt.
• Professional appearance standards apply (no short shirts/low-cut shirts; no cleavage showing).

Core Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers, answer inquiries (in person and over the phone), and ensure a friendly, professional, and timely checkout experience.
• Transaction Management: Accurately process sales transactions using a POS (Point of Sale) system, handling cash, credit, and other payment methods.
• Order Fulfillment: Take customer orders and ensure they are processed correctly.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace and assist with general store cleaning duties at the end of the day.
