The Managed Care Contracting Associate works in conjunction with the Manager of Contracting and Director of Contracting in the initiation, negotiation, and execution of agreements with LHC Group partners, including MCOs, ACOs, ASOs, other appropriate parties. The Contracting Associate position requires an understanding of healthcare reimbursement, payor contracting, and how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment as well as how to manifest those capabilities into payor agreements.

Work Experience

Responsibilities forCandidates

  • Responsible for contract review and execution for assigned payors,
  • Works in conjunction with Managed Care Payor Contracts Manager to negotiate contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates with payers
  • Assists with analyzing financial impact of contracts and terms
  • Maintains contracts and documentation within a tracking system
  • Supports the team and the internal customers/stakeholders with communicating contracting timelines and expectations
  • Works closely with other team members in Managed Care to ensure optimal processes across the department

Qualifications forCandidates

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree required

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years provider/payer contracting experience
  • Working knowledge of ACO/Risk Contracting and Value based contracting preferred
