The Data Engineering department oversees the standardization, management, and adoption of services that support key technology initiatives, while also collaborating on cloud architecture, automation, data pipeline development, and data modeling to support business intelligence and data science goals. This team plays a critical role in leveraging data assets to drive actionable insights and innovation across the organization.

The AI Intern will have the opportunity to deeply investigate and analyze the various ways in which Stuller can effectively leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. This exploration will focus on identifying potential applications and strategies that can enhance the company's operations and overall efficiency through the use of AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and training machine learning and deep learning models
  • Implement computer vision algorithms for image classification, object detection, and segmentation
  • Preprocess and analyze image and video data for AI applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and integrate AI solutions
  • Support the deployment of models to production environments
  • Document code, methodologies, and results
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML and computer vision

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • Programming experience with Python
  • Familiarity with at least one deep learning framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras)
  • Basic knowledge of computer vision concepts
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Currently pursing graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • Experience with computer vision libraries (OpenCV, scikit-image)
  • Familiarity with convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and their architectures
  • Knowledge of image processing techniques
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Understanding of data preprocessing and feature engineering
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

This role is not eligible for students on F-1 visas requiring Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Optional Practical Training (OPT).
