About this Job Special Investigations Division. The Special Investigations Division is comprised of and responsible for the following sections/units/programs:Special Investigations Unit. This section is comprised of the three following units/programs:Technical Support Unit. The Technical Support Unit is responsible for providing technical investigative support to the Louisiana State Police as well as well as other state and local law enforcement agencies in Louisiana. Special Victims Unit. Rescue and seek justice for the victims of crimes involving the exploitation of children and the trafficking of humans for sex or labor through investigative partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, and through public education.
