As a Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative, you are the face of care and quality to patients seeking diagnostic services. You will provide exceptional phlebotomy services, maintain accurate documentation, and create a welcoming and professional environment. This is a hands-on, patient-facing role involving routine and specialized specimen collection, with opportunities to support critical diagnostic efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric
Collect, label, and verify specimens following strict identification protocols
Maintain accurate records and patient demographic verification
Deliver exceptional patient service and maintain a professional environment
Adhere to established safety, confidentiality, and quality assurance standards
Travel as needed for shift coverage; flexibility in location required
Support team members and management with operational tasks
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Keyboard/data entry proficiency
Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or service industry preferred
Patient Service Center experience (2+ years preferred)
Nice-to-Have Experience
Medical assistant or paramedic training
Prior experience in high-volume lab or diagnostic environments
Phlebotomy certification preferred (not required in Louisiana)
Required Skills
Excellent phlebotomy technique
Superior customer focus and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
Reliable transportation for travel to alternate work sites
Confidence and empathy in patient interactions
