The Academic Counselor plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Upward Bound I Program by providing comprehensive academic counseling, educational support, and career readiness guidance to first-generation and low-income participants. This position requires a commitment to student success through collaboration with staff, families, and school partners, while also ensuring compliance with program requirements and contributing to grant-related initiatives. The Academic Counselor will engage in both day-to-day student support and program-wide activities, including after-school and weekend enrichment sessions, summer residential programming, and university-wide events.
