Legal, Risk, and Compliance at ValonThe Legal, Risk, and Compliance (LRC) department at Valon is responsible for interpreting and advising our company on the various legal, regulatory, and contractual provisions that impact the business. Given how heavily regulated the mortgage industry is, compliance and risk management sit at the very core of our business. The team partners closely with our operations, finance, and technology teams to provide the applicable legal and compliance expertise and frameworks that help inform the decisions that the business makes. As a member of the LRC team, you will work closely with internal clients across the company to ensure that Valons interests are protected.

We are looking to add a Counsel to our Legal, Risk, and Compliance team. In this role, you will support legal and compliance functions across Valons growing mortgage lending and servicing businesses. You will work closely with more senior attorneys and business stakeholders to help navigate the legal and regulatory landscape as we continue to scale our loan portfolio and develop our technology platform. Youll have exposure to a wide range of mortgage-related legal issues, from supporting new product features and operational initiatives to assisting with loan-level escalations and regulatory matters.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with legal and regulatory issues in mortgage lending and servicing, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to dig into complex problems. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to broaden their in-house legal experience and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment.
