The New Iberia Research Center (NIRC) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Biomedical Laboratory Technician to join our team. This NIH grant-funded position, under the supervision of Dr. Francois Villinger, Principal Investigator (P. I.), plays a crucial role in advancing our mission to provide resources and support for basic and applied biomedical research aimed at solving human health and societal problems. NIRC is an AAALAC International-accredited facility housing approximately 12,000 nonhuman primates, including Great Apes, Old World, and New World species. As a Center of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, we are committed to supporting the biomedical community and facilitating groundbreaking research. Major Responsibilities: Support programs focused on active immunization of nonhuman primates to prevent mucosal virus acquisition.
