Staffmark is seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join a growing team in Lafayette. Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay: $18.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage new hire offer letters and position change documentation
• Oversee onboarding processes including I-9s, background checks, references, and employment verifications
• Conduct new hire orientations (in-person and remote via Zoom/Teams)
• Maintain and update employee records in Excel and HR systems
• Coordinate employee training sessions and travel arrangements
• Handle employee inquiries and resolve conflicts with professionalism
• Support offboarding and termination processes
• Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and Director

Qualifications:

• Previous HR experience required (not entry-level)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of HR systems (UKG or ADP preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage confidential information
• Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
