Your Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Engineering to lead multiple teams across our engineering, quality, and cloud hosting disciplines. This individual will play a critical role in driving our product development strategy and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure SaaS solutions to a national customer base. As a key member of the leadership team, the VP of Engineering will partner closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to deliver strategic growth objectives.

What You'll Do:

Leadership & Team Management
• Oversee multiple engineering, quality, and cloud hosting teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring high performance.
• Develop and execute hiring strategies to attract top engineering talent, with a focus on team building and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Manage team performance, set clear objectives, and ensure continuous improvement through regular feedback and development initiatives.
• Foster the use of high productivity and modern tools including AI based frameworks.

Manager Partner based team(s) for strategic projects and efforts

Engineering & Architecture Oversite:
• Lead the technical vision for the company's SaaS platform, with a strong focus on engineering best practices, software architecture, and infrastructure design.
• Oversee the development and scaling of cloud -native application, ensuring robust architecture that support high-scale environments.
• Ensure product quality by establishing and monitoring key metrics related to system performance, uptime, security, and technical debt management.
•Product Development & Roadmap Execution:

Collaborate closely with Product Management to define and execute the product roadmap, aligning technical initiatives with business objectives and growth strategies.

Drive the successful delivery of strategic products that directly contribute to the company's revenue growth and market expansion goals.

PLATFORM HEALTH & METRICS:
• Establish and maintain key platform health metrics, focusing on quality, security, maintenance, and technical debt reduction.
• Implement continuous monitoring and improvement processes to ensure the platform remains resilient, performant, and secure as it scales.

Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:
• Ensure engineering practices adhere to industry regulations, particularly in highly regulated environments. Oversee compliance with relevant data privacy, state, federal, and international standards (e.g., CJIS, SOC 2).
• Work closely with security and legal teams to ensure that products meet regulatory and compliance requirements across multiple geographies.

Strategic Growth & Innovation:
• Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership, contributing to company-wide initiatives that promote technological innovation and business growth.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in cloud-native architectures and scalable SaaS solutions, to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.

What You Bring:
• 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with deep expertise in SaaS businesses and scaling cloud-native applications
• Proven experience managing engineering teams of various disciplines (engineering, quality, cloud hosting) in high-scale environments, preferably with a National or Global customer base.

Technical Skills:
• Strong engineering and architectural background, with expertise in designing and implementing cloud-native applications using modern technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Microservices).
• Deep understanding of platform health metrics such as system uptime, security, scalability, and technical debt management.

Leadership:
• A proven track record of hiring, building, and leading high-performing engineering teams, with a focus on mentorship and team development.
• A proven track record of applying effective, productive processes throughout the SDLC.
• Experience delivering product roadmaps in collaboration with product partners and driving the technical direction of strategic, growth-focused products.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in leading teams within multi-organization environments or conglomerates.
• Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS business models and product development lifecycles.
• A history of leading successful product consolidations or platform integrations in multi-product environments.
