Position Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable individual who understands critical cloud concepts and is eager to apply their expertise in Azure solutions. This role offers the opportunity to deploy resources in a new region using the latest best practices and insights from years of successful Azure operations. Join our team and be part of transforming our client's digital infrastructure.
This position is located in our Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN office; a hybrid 2 days a week onsite in the office.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Support the migration of Azure resources to a new region, ensuring smooth transitions and operational continuity.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and assist in implementing tailored cloud solutions.
• Apply Azure's latest best practices and lessons learned to develop effective migration strategies.
• Assist in designing and deploying scalable, secure, and efficient Azure infrastructure in the new region.
• Conduct assessments of existing Azure environments and identify areas for optimization.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the migration process.
• Document project progress and outcomes for stakeholder communication.
• Stay updated with Azure advancements and contribute innovative solutions to the migration strategies.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Solid experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Azure.
• Strong understanding of Azure services, architectures, and critical cloud concepts.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) including ARM templates and Terraform.
• Familiarity with Azure tools such as Azure Migrate and Azure Resource Manager.
• Experience with Azure migrations and deployments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation.
• Effective communication skills for client interaction and technical discussions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or Azure DevOps Engineer.
• Knowledge of Azure networking and security best practices.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like OpenShift.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux operating system.
• Analytical skills for identifying optimization opportunities.
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Understanding of data analytics and machine learning services in Azure.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $154,300.00.
