Staffmark is seeking a skilled Mechanic to support a dynamic production facility in Avery Island, LA. Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: Day Shift | 10-12 hours/day |Shift length may vary based on production needs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on high-speed filling lines and production machinery
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using testing instruments and observation
• Dismantle defective parts and make dimensional adjustments
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, diagrams, and manuals
• Collaborate with team leads and other maintenance staff
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Track and manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-4 years of mechanical experience, preferably in a production environment
• Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair techniques
• Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Steel-toed boots required
