Duplantis Design Group is actively looking to add project management personnel to our growing civil engineering team. The Civil Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the overall supervision of commercial, industrial, municipal, and other civil design & permitting projects. The focus will be on providing utmost satisfaction to clients, aligning with DDGs core values. The Project Manager should ensure projects are completed within the schedule and budget, operating with a degree of autonomy using available staff and resources. Familiarity with project development from preliminary design through construction and permitting is essential. Experience with client coordination and communication is fundamental.

Activities + Responsibilities:

  • Produce site civil engineering and land development design plans.
  • Create plans including drainage, grading, water, wastewater, signage, and marking for various projects.
  • Prepare drainage and cut/fill calculations.
  • Visualize and plan geographic representations for land development projects.
  • Promote DDG's core values and comply with company standards.
  • Work within project budgets and timelines.
  • Integrate CAD standards and client design criteria.
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish timelines and designs.
  • Review environmental, geotechnical, traffic, and other reports.
  • Attend client and consultant meetings to understand needs and present solutions.
  • Continuously learn and apply lessons learned.
  • Assist the project team in achieving objectives and improving processes.
  • Mentor and support junior staff.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and methods for related structures.
  • Understanding of safety regulations.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Creativity and analytical thinking.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Path to Professional Licensure with 4+ years of civil engineering experience.
  • Experience in commercial land development, including site improvements and utilities.
  • Proficiency in civil CAD drafting preferred.
  • Strong organizational and design skills.
