The Director of US for Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab (BIL) will lead a large, multidisciplinary team of creatives, solutions managers, and brand strategists. They will partner with BIL leaders in content production, design technology, and engineering to develop cross-Amazon experiences and sponsorships that only Amazon can deliver. As a leader within a dynamic, global organization, they will also collaborate with BIL and Amazon leaders across EU, APAC and International Expansion markets to chart a course that inspires experimentation and innovation and delivers results for brands across multiple categories including CPG, Grocery, Beauty, Automotive, Entertainment, Travel, Financial Services and more.


Key job responsibilities

  1. Lead a large, multi-disciplinary team (creative, project management, strategy) across multiple US locations (LA, SEA, NY), establishing and upholding the highest creative and customer experience bar.
  2. Partner with BIL leaders in Content Production, Design Technology and Engineering to determine the best use of resources across multiple areas of vertical, creative and technical opportunity.
  3. Partner with US counterparts in Ad Sales and Ads Product teams to align on the BIL priorities that will drive sustainable growth through creativity and innovation.
  4. Collaborate directly with brands and agencies to communicate the full-funnel possibilities across the Amazon Ads canvas.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 15+ years of Advertising experience.
  2. 10+ years leading teams responsible for creative or technical deliverables.
  3. Experience managing a P&L to make necessary staffing decisions and tradeoffs to deliver the best experience for customers, while managing the business responsibly.
  4. Bachelors, Masters or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Understanding of both creative and media best practices.
  2. Creative or content agency experience.
  3. Experience working closely with technical teams to deliver digital advertising or products.
  4. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  5. A portfolio with a range of experience in building advertising programs.
  6. Master's Degree.
