Description:

As the local distributor for CONMED Orthopedics, OR Specialists, INC. is seeking an entry level JR Associate Sales Representative in the Lafayette, LA Metropolitan Area to represent our expansive product portfolio that ranges from sports medicine implants, Hall Surgical Powered Instruments, fluid management, resection & ablation, MTF biologics and our NEW 4K Ultra High-Definition Visualization System​.

As an Orthopedic JR Associate Sales Representative, you will be given the opportunity to assist our top sales professionals in strategically selling and promoting CONMED's Orthopedic products within a defined geographic territory to our customers. This will be accomplished by providing outstanding customer service as well as partnering on product demonstrations/presentations within the Operating Room & office settings to surgeons and hospital personnel.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist in helping generate new sales opportunities and maintain existing business
  • Meet assigned goals as provided by the company
  • Observe procedures in the operating room of hospital accounts to gain insight into the needs of physicians and OR staff
  • Respond quickly to customer needs regarding products and service and collaborate with our top sales professionals to develop creative and optimal solutions

What You Need:

  • One of the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree from Accredited University or 2+ years of outside sales experience or 2+ years of Surgical Tech or Related Clinical experience
  • High level of energy, motivation, drive, perseverance, initiative, commitment & professionalism
  • Excellent time management and ability to effectively prioritize
  • Ability to work independently and exercise strong decision-making skills
  • Exceptional focus and ability to bring tasks to completion

Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 90% Travel – local only – to and from different facilities
  • Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and dependable automobile

Additional Requirements:

  • Drug test required.
  • Employees and new hires in sales and field roles that require access to customer accounts as a function of the job may be required, depending on customer requirements, to obtain the COVID-19 vaccination as an essential function of their role
  • Ability to meet with customers at hospitals and to be a member of a credentialing agency
  • Must understand and adhere to all OR and pertinent OSHA guidelines when conducting a product evaluation
  • Must exhibit a base understanding of computers and mobile applications
  • Must adhere rigidly to all GMP policies and procedures as stipulated by the FDA

  • Product Sales Training
  • Field Training
