The Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana (BGCA) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead our HR efforts and help us continue creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive work environment. This is a pivotal role that ensures our organization is well-equipped to attract, develop, and retain top talent committed to serving the youth in our communities.

What You'll Do:

As the Director of Human Resources, you'll oversee all HR functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's HR systems and policies.

Your responsibilities will include:

HRIS System Management (Paycor):

Manage and maintain the Paycor HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for all HR processes.

Benefits Management:

Oversee employee benefits administration, including health plans, retirement plans, and other benefits to ensure competitive and comprehensive packages are provided.

New Hire Experience:

Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, pre-hire processes, orientation, and onboarding to create a seamless experience for all new hires. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.

Leadership Development:

Design and manage leadership development plans for all leaders across the agency. Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance leadership capabilities and foster a culture of growth.

Performance Management:

Develop, implement, and oversee performance management policies and processes. Ensure consistency in performance evaluations and provide guidance to managers on delivering effective feedback.

HR Committee Oversight:

Lead and collaborate with the HR committee comprised of local community subject matter experts. Gather insights, recommendations, and best practices to enhance the organization's HR strategies.

Board of Directors Reporting:

Attend board meetings and report on HR outcomes, needs, successes, and key initiatives. Provide insights and recommendations for strategic HR planning.

Employee Relations:

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, ensuring a fair, consistent, and professional approach to resolving concerns. Provide guidance on conflict resolution and build positive employee relationships that contribute to a healthy organizational culture. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, providing up-to-date guidance and training where needed.

Compliance & Policy Management:

Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with organizational goals. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure best practices are in place.

Additional Responsibilities:

Promote employee engagement initiatives to create a welcoming and inclusive work environment. Develop HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and processes.

What You Bring:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
HR Expertise: Strong knowledge of HRIS systems, employee relations, benefits management, recruiting, performance management, and leadership development.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze HR metrics, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
Familiarity with Employment Laws: Comprehensive understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution: Skilled in addressing workplace challenges with professionalism, fairness, and a collaborative approach.
Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: Ability to foster an inclusive workplace culture that values diverse perspectives.
Preferred: SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certification. Experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus.

About the Hiring Process:

This position is being recruited by MKR Development on behalf of their client, Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana. Communication regarding your application and the interview process will come from representatives of MKR Development.

Pay Range: $65,000 per year
