We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Building Automation Controls Service Representative to join our team. This position involves possessing a passion for assisting customers with their building automation systems, controls, and related services to commercial clients, building owners, facility managers, and contractors. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in building systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Identify and generate new business opportunities within the building automation controls industry.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs to propose tailored automation control solutions.
    • Present and demonstrate automation products and services to potential customers.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, quotations, and presentations.
    • Negotiate contracts and pricing to close sales deals effectively.
  • Service Sales:
    • Promote and sell ongoing service agreements, maintenance contracts, and upgrades to existing building automation systems.
    • Collaborate with internal service teams to ensure seamless delivery and execution of services.
    • Provide customers with expert advice on optimizing their building systems for energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost savings.
  • Market Research & Strategy:
    • Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape.
    • Gather and report on customer feedback, competitor activities, and emerging market demands.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance brand presence and drive lead generation strategies.
  • Customer Support:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding sales inquiries, product recommendations, and service follow-ups.
    • Provide post-sales support to ensure customers are satisfied and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5 years in the Controls field (or equivalent work experience).
  • A strong background in building automation controls or HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, energy management, and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the commercial building sector or with facility management.
  • Understanding of energy management systems and sustainability practices.
  • Professional certifications related to building automation or controls (e.g., BACnet, DDC programming, etc.).

    This is a Safety Sensitive position.
