NATURE AND PURPOSE
Positions in this classification provide technical support to electrical engineers and other staff by performing field/office/computer studies. Collects field data and uses that data to develop drawings, diagrams, and other forms necessary for the completion of requested utilities projects. Takes measurements, marks positions for proposed electric, water, and wastewater services, visually inspects existing structures.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from a high school and prior work experience incorporating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the specific position is strongly desired; such knowledge and skills include knowledge of GIS and related software, map-making skills, features of GPS systems, utilities infrastructure, math, and computer skills pertaining to MS Office software.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION - Examination will be a multiple-choice exam.
