Overview:
Lafayette, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an Industrial Project Manager to oversee construction projects in the Gulf Coast region. The Industrial Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties:
• Interface with clients and subcontractors to negotiate, secure, and manage project contracts.
• Communicate effectively with owners, client engineers, leadership teams, project engineers, superintendents, and field staff to maximize performance and productivity.
• Manage equipment, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Assist in estimating by providing takeoffs and bid pricing for new projects.
• Create and manage project schedules using Primavera (P6) to ensure timely project completion.
• Monitor project schedules for accuracy and update them as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project finances to optimize cash flow and adhere to budget constraints.
• Conduct project budget reviews and generate weekly reports to maintain budget expectations.
• Implement corrective measures as needed to align with budget goals.
• Develop and execute detailed project plans to guide teams and achieve key milestones.
• Manage change control processes, including change orders and contract scope adjustments.
• Forecast critical work activities and manage manpower and workload to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and manage site-specific safety plans in collaboration with the project team and safety department.
• Conduct regular site safety walks, document safety issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure a strong commitment to safety, adherence to protocols, and daily documentation.
Requirements/Skills:
• Prior experience managing large civil construction projects.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Heavy Job, and Heavy Bid.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and professional standards.
• Highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Strong independent judgment in job performance.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software.
• Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
• 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Project Management Certification.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to travel to job sites and corporate offices as needed.
