About the President/Head of School:

The Head of School/President is the Chief Executive Officer of Westminster Christian Academy (WCA). He/She is charged with the responsibility of interpreting and translating the policies set forth by the Board of Directors into operational procedures. As a general rule of thumb, the Board will set policies, and the administrators, led by the HOS/President, will create and implement procedures to implement those policies. Authority is delegated by the Board to the HOS/President for the day-to-day operation of WCA. The HOS/President should provide leadership to the school and report to the Board, as well as represent the Board to the staff and the staff to the Board. A relationship of trust and respect must exist between the HOS/President and the members of the Board as all seek God's wisdom and direction for our school. The HOS/President serves as an ex-officio member of the Board and all Board committees.

• The HOS/President must have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, exhibit a mature faith, and demonstrate an ability to articulate his/her faith and witness.

In addition, the following are critical to success:

• He/She must hold at least a Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
• He/She must have a demonstrated history of effectiveness and success in a high leadership role in a Christian school or ministry.
• He/She must meet the qualifications of WCA's accrediting institutions.
• The HOS/President's personal and family life must be in keeping with WCA's Statement of Faith, Mission and Vision, Statement of Values, Philosophy, and Code of Ethics.
