Reporting to the Director of Survey, the Survey Data Technician is responsible for maintaining AFS databases and providing various other company support and performing Field work as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and process the files and data from field services on a daily basis.
Use OPUS observation reports to adjust coordinates.
Maintain equipment database.
Maintain survey file database.
Work with drafting department to ensure data accuracy.
Work close with the field personnel to provide feedback and concerns on field data and documentation.
Perform conversions between multiple coordinate systems.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in equivalent field or related work experience.
3+ years of related experience.
Proficient in MS Office productivity tools with an emphasis on MS Excel, MS Access, and web based time and expense reporting applications.
Experience with Carlson Survey SoftwareAutocadTrimble Pathfinder OfficeTrimble Business Center.
Basic understanding of coordinate systems.
