Living in the 21st century, you should certainly be looking for and applying for jobs online. That is fine, but there are many potential dangers to putting the sort of information that job applications frequently ask for out there into cyberspace. It is however, possible to keep running your search online without putting yourself at risk of identity theft or other pitfalls. If you have to think hard on whether something is inappropriate, it probably is.
