In this role you will design HVAC systems for a wide range of buildings, including K‑12 schools, retail/mixed‑use spaces, hospitals, and commercial office spaces.ResponsibilitiesDesign Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning Systems for various types of facilitiesProduce mechanical design drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit softwarePerform field investigationsCoordinate quality control, scheduling, and programmingCoordinate and communicate information and progress with MEP teamQualifications3 to 5 years of experience in HVAC design and constructionA solid understanding of duct design, piping design, air handlers, chiller, and boiler systemsExperience with performing load calculations, equipment selection and design, wet and dry side system designKnowledge of CBC, CMC and CPC codes, DDC controls, Title 24, HAP or Energy ProA demonstrated facilitation experienceSkills and AbilitiesMust have strong verbal and written communications skills in design and specificationsLocation: Lafayette, LATravel: Less than 10%Compensation and BenefitsThis role is eligible for performance‑based bonuses and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidaysWellness programs and employee assistance resourcesSalas O'Brien provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
