As an R&M (Repair & Maintenance) Technician at Weatherford, you'll perform hands-on maintenance and repair of field tools and equipment. You'll be responsible for the complete maintenance cycle - from receiving tools, dismantling, repairing, and refurbishing them according to technical specifications to prepare them for their next assignment.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in daily safety meetings and promptly report any issues
* Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in safe condition
* Repair and maintain tools and equipment using precision measuring instruments and testing devices
* Inspect parts using measuring tools to determine dimensional requirements
* Follow maintenance procedures for tool handling: unloading, disassembly, cleaning, testing, painting, assembly, and storage
* Complete all required documentation and work orders accurately
* Operate lifting equipment, forklifts, and other machinery safely (certification required)
* Process incoming and outgoing shipments with proper documentation
* Support LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement programs
* Lead maintenance teams and troubleshoot complex equipment issues
* Implement corrective actions and ensure compliance with procedures
* Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures
* Schedule and distribute work assignments
* Evaluate quality and efficiency of work being performed
Qualifications
* High school diploma
* 0-2 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry
* Basic computer skills
* Basic mathematics skills
* Ability to work with hazardous materials safely
* Good reading, writing, and problem-solving skills
* Physical capability to perform required tasks
* Time management and quality control skills
Work Environment
You'll work in a workshop environment handling tools and equipment, sometimes working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements, under strict safety protocols.
